TURMOIL ~ CTM FESTIVAL 2018

As in the previous years, VOJD worked out the entire design and visibility for CTM Festival's 2018 theme TURMOIL. With this theme, CTM 2018 inquires into the potential of music at a time when we have begun normalising the ongoing barrage of political, social, and environmental crises and the resulting disquiet that resonates through our on- and offline lives. The festival explores the state of music and sound practice in the face of a confusing and critical present.

METRIX

This ongoing section studies the composition of shapes, colours, gradients, shades, textures and geometry. Initial points are ideas of creating abstract typefaces, figural objects and pattern design. Find regularly updates on Instagram.

Next Level Festival connects the world of games with new technologies and art projects. The 4 days of lectures, interaction, gaming and workshops take place at NRW-Forum in the heart of Düsseldorf. VOJD had the great opportunity to give the festival‘s identity a complete new design.

CTM FESTIVAL 2017 ~ FEAR ANGER LOVE

The 18th issue of Berlin‘s CTM Festival »Fear Anger Love« concentrates on the emotional side in music, society and culture. And also the recent political situation reveals that emotions affect the occasions more and more in the world. The metallic filters and liquid morphs of real life situations associate processes like data mining/manipulation, automation, transparency that resonate in our daily technological environment. In the end we decide and create the world with our interactions and emotions. This should be interwoven with the festival graphics.
